MacLean Engineering was established in 1973 to design and manufacture specialty mobile drilling equipment for the Canadian hard rock mining industry. The company operates from a 5000 m_ modern plant facility in Collingwood, Ontario, situated 150 km north of Toronto. There is a regional service centre in Sudbury, Ontario, and marketing arms on four continents. The company’s primary focus has been traditionally been in developing successful solutions for ground support (Scissor Bolter) and secondary reduction (Remote Blockholer) applications in trackless mines. These products are regarded as industry standards. The company has also been a leader in the development of shaft sinking jumbos, and more recently a line of special purpose utility vehicles - cable bolting systems, emulsion chargers, boom trucks, personnel carriers and bulk carriers for shotcrete and explosives. As a global supplier, MacLean Engineering has recognized the need for strong after market presence and has established a product support network in each area of operations.
