After data analysis, the Economic Development Department will provide a print-ready written report with chart illustrations and a slide presentation of the study findings to the community.
This report will enable Town of Collingwood Municipal leaders to develop strategies aimed at maintaining a healthy economic environment.
These findings will allow the community to examine its business development situation in relationship to others in the County or the Province given that increasing communities have undertaken their own BR+E studies as a tool in gaining an understanding of the business community's view of local economy and determining the potential for future expansion/relocation.

The Town of Collingwood survey questionnaire contains 11 categories:
1. Industrial/Employment
2. History and Status of Present Location
3. Business Climate and Assessment of Government Services (such as the Infrastructure)
4. Future Plans
5. Nature of Company Business
6. Business Development
7. Markets and Customers
8. Financial Matters
9. Workforce Development: Labour and Manpower
10. Community Linkage
11. Overall Impressions
Both objective and subjective questions are included in the survey. As well, the sectors were permitted the opportunity to skip answering any questions. All twenty-four completed forms were entered into the database. The Economic Development Office identified the list of businesses to approach for an interview. The businesses participating in the survey ranged in size and had one to more than 350 full time employees.
