Business Climate

This section provides an overview of the way Medical/Health practitioners see the community and identifies the factors viewed as barriers to the expansion of their practices.

• 75% of Medical/Health practitioners rated the business climate as “good to excellent” although

• 68% percent of them hold a more negative opinion of the business climate now than three years ago

Satisfaction levels were identified at:

• 35% percent for current services including fire, police and public utilities, with street repairs, snow removal and garbage services ranked as slightly lower

Additionally, levels of dissatisfaction were largely consistent throughout the Medical/Health sector, with the most common themes including a lack of adequate and affordable commercial space, with Municipal Council viewed as indecisive on important issues related to development matters.
