Business Retention and Expansion Study for Collingwood's Knowledge Base Sector

Introduction

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

BR+E survey results will provide a valuable benchmark for the Collingwood knowledge based business community. Ultimately, these results will tie in with findings yet to be determined with the remaining five sectors that will be completed over the next year.

The findings will create a confidential, comprehensive data profile of knowledge base businesses in the community in order to develop a systematic approach to retention and expansion from within.

Re-studies also serve as a follow-up, indicating how economic changes have impacted the business community, determining current needs and plans, and verifying past situations that have been corrected. These economic indicators enable the community to develop targeted marketing and retention programs as well as identifying those areas where expansion and retention efforts can be improved.

The overall findings will determine how Collingwood can create a better environment for local businesses to succeed.
