Business Retention and Expansion Study for Collingwood's Industrial/Employment Sector
Overall Findings
Community Questions
The Collingwood manufacturing/industrial executives interviewed believe the most positive factors dealing with recruiting are the quality of life and the elementary and secondary educational system. The factors considered to have the most negative impact are municipal housing costs and federal personal taxes.
The study finds that 38% of interviewed industrial executives report Collingwood Economic Development Plan as being effective.
Of the executives responding to this survey, 45% determine Collingwood municipal government as taking an adequate role in business and economic development. The remainder held an opposing position identifying the need for increased personal contact with the Economic Development office.
